65 Years in Canada
 During their 65 year history
in Canada,the McConnell Dancers
have performed at the Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, across Canada and the United States.
The group has performed with well known groups such as "The Irish Rovers", "Tommy Makem" and "The Irish Descendants".
"McConnell School of Dance" is recognized world-wide for their performance-style Irish Dancing,
 as commonly seen in Riverdance
and Lord of the Dance.

35 Years in Folklorama
Sam McConnell was one of the founding members of the Folk Art Council of Winnipeg. The McConnell Dancers have performed at the Ireland-Irish Pavilion, the  Emerald Isle pavilion and the school ran the "Isle of the Shamrock" pavilion from 1996 - 2003        

   McConnell School of Dance currently performs at the Ireland - Irish Pavilion sponsored by the Irish Association of Manitoba

We encourage our students to participate in Folklorama as it is a unique and enriching experience for all dancers!
Dancer's family and friends are always encouraged to support and volunteer at the pavilion.

"McConnell School of Dance" is proud to have taught many thousands of students in both Ireland and Canada, spanning several generations.
