McConnell School of Dance
is one of the longest established Irish Dance schools in
 North America and was the only Irish Dance
school in Manitoba for over 40 years.

 During their 60 year history
in Canada,the McConnell Dancers
have performed at the Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, across Canada and the United States.
The group has performed with well known groups such as "The Irish Rovers", "Tommy Makem" and "The Irish Descendants".
"McConnell School of Dance" is recognized world-wide for their performance-style Irish Dancing,
 as commonly seen in Riverdance
and Lord of the Dance.
 The McConnell Dancers performed at the "Emerald Isle" pavilion in the Folklorama Festival for 25 years and in 1996 they sponsored and operated the "Isle of the Shamrock" pavilion. 
The school currently performs at the Ireland - Irish Pavilion sponsored by the
Irish Association of Manitoba Inc.

"McConnell School of Dance" is proud to have taught many thousands of students in both Ireland and Canada, spanning several generations.
Each year the McConnell Dancers perform at countless charity events, both local and international.  They also volunteer their talents at Legions /ANAF, senior citizen centres and folk festivals.  

The McConnell family have earned three citizenship awards for their community service work.
